Trong Cave History.
The story is that: In the past, there was a beautiful fisherman on Halong Bay, because her family was poor, so her family had to work as a hired laborer for a landlord in the area. Infatuated by her beauty, he forced her to be his wife. Because she had a lover, she did not agree, so the landlord sent her to a deserted island. Because of starvation to exhaustion, the girl died and petrified here.
That night, when he learned that his lover was in an accident, the young man was engrossed in sailing to find her. A storm came and broke the man’s boat and he was washed ashore on a deserted island. In a flash, he looked in the far opposite direction and recognized the girl, but the words he called had been carried away by the wind. He smashed the cliff with the rock to let her know that he had come. He knocked until the blood in his hand was flowing, exhausted, and he petrified in this cave.
The place where the girl petrified was called the Virgin’s cave. In the middle of the cave is a stone statue in the shape of a beautiful girl with long hair falling, facing the sea and waiting for the boy to return. About 700 – 800m from Trinh Nu cave on the opposite side – where the young man petrified, was named Trong Cave. At the entrance of the cave is a statue of a young man facing the virgin cave to see the girl.
