Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches) is known as an ideal destination in Halong Bay for kayaking and swimming thanks to its wonderfully secluded and pristine beaches overlooking small islands.
Some people even enjoy it for rock climbing. It is located about 22km to the south of Bai Chay Tourist Wharf.
Ba Trai Dao is situated within Lan Ha Bay, which belongs to Halong City, Quang Ninh Province. The island is not very far from Cat Ba Island. Ba Trai Dao consists of three small islets which –with enough imagination – resemble the three peaches after which it is named. According to legend, there was a fairy who fell in love with a poor fisherman in Halong Bay. One day, as the fairy wanted the fisherman to be immortal like her, she stole three peaches from the Heaven and brought them to him. Unfortunately, the God noticed and angrily turned the peaches into three rocky islands in Halong Bay.
Nowadays, Ba Trai Dao Island is well-known not only for its legend but also for its alluring Ba Tra Dao Beach (Three Peaches Beach). Situated outside of the normal tourist track of Halong Bay sites, Ba Trai Dao Beach has the shape of an arc embracing the island. The romantic seascapes along with the emerald and crystal-like waters will enthrall you.
With only 2-day Lan Ha Bay on the cruise to visit & enjoy Ba Trai Dao Beach.
